Parador De Villafrance del Bierzo
LARGE HOUSE EMBRACED BY WILD VINES
This Parador is located in the illustrious town of Villafranca del Bierzo,
capital of a very beautiful region and former station on the road to Santiago.
Its architecture imitates the lines and forms of nearby, closely felt Galicia.
The landscapes of the Ancares mountain range to the north complement the
beauty of the Parador's garden. Its interior is characterized by traditional
Castilian decoration in furniture in the entrance halls, chairs and wrought
iron lamps. The wooden floors in the bedrooms and elsewhere offer elegance and
comfort. The living room, one of the most pleasant spaces of the Parador, is
welcoming and comfortable. Trout with lard and peppers, "botillo" (local
sausage), pies and stewed veal Bierzo style are some of the dishes offered by
the roomy restaurant.

HOW TO GET THERE
The Parador is located at the entrance of the town, in the upper part, some
350 metres from the main N-VI road. Villafranca is at km 406 of the N-VI
(Madrid-A Coruña), with a well looked-after and spacious entrance from the
main road which passes the Parador and continues to the Plaza Mayor. |
