Parador De Verin
WITH AN AIR OF A GALICIAN COUNTRY HOUSE
Located opposite the Monterrei fortress, the Parador also enjoys
privileged panoramic views of the town of Verín with the vineyards in the
background, and recreates the construction of a traditional Galician
country house, with a central battlemented tower, and two wings in which
the bedrooms are distributed. The interior offers the guest a pleasant,
welcoming and quiet atmosphere. The bedrooms, well decorated with good
taste, with ochre shades predominant and wooden floors, are favoured by
beautiful, relaxing views of the large garden, with a tempting swimming
pool, or of the castle. "Merluza a la gallega" (hake), "filloas" (type of
pancake) in cream scented with grape liquor, and shoulder of pork with
parsnip tops are good examples of the gastronomy on offer.
