1st Day - Monday |
Madrid -Salamanca - Zamora
Depart Madrid, past Avila to Salamanca for a tour of this ancient
university city and lunch. Free time and on to atmospheric Zamora for
dinner and accommodations in the elegant old palace Parador.

2nd Day - Tuesday |
Zamora - Ferreras - Lubian - Verin - Cambados/Pontevedra
Buffet breakfast. Depart to Ferreras to see the important installations
of the local cattle industry, and to Lubian to see the facilities for
capturing errant wolves. Pause in Verin for lunch in the Parador.
Continue into Galicia and the town of Cambados or Pontevedra. Dinner
and accommodations at the Parador.

3rd Day - Wednesday |
Zamora - Ferreras - Lubian - Verin - Cambados/Pontevedra
Buffet breakfast. Depart to Ferreras to see the important installations

Santiago de Compostela - Samos - O Cebreiro - Villa del Bierzo
- Astorga - Leon
Buffet breakfast. Departure to Samos to visit the famous monastery.
Continue to O Cebreiro to visit the old Celtic settlements (the Scots,
Irish and Celto-Iberians are relatives!). Typical lunch in Villa del
Bierzo. Pause in Astorga to visit the Bishop's Palace by Gaudi and the
brooding cathedral. Continue to Leon for dinner and accommodations at
the impressive Hostal San Marcos Parador.

5th Day - Friday |
Leon - Tordesillas - Madrid
Buffet breakfast. City tour of Leon including the magnificent cathedral
with incredible stained glass installations. Head south to Tordesillas
for lunch and a tour. Continue to Madrid. End of services.
