Route 3: Cradle of Royalty; Cradle of Wine

1st Day - Monday |
Madrid -Medinaceli - Berlanga de Duero - Calataņazor -Siguenza
Departure from Madrid to Medinaceli, to enjoy a tour of the remains of
cultures from the Roman, Arab and Christian eras. Continue to Berlanga
de Duero for a tour and lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit
to a blacksmith shop still in use. Visit the beautiful medieval town of
Calataņazor. Dinner and accommodations at the 12th century castle Parador.

2nd Day - Tuesday |
Siguenza - Yanguas - Enciso - Rio Cidacos - Olite
Buffet breakfast. Departure to Yanguas. Visit the dinosaur footprints
and enjoy lunch in an old flour mill. Continue to Rio Cidacos to visit
an old Almazara (olive oil press). In Olite, visit the castle and a
Navarran winery; then enjoy dinner and overnight in the castle Parador.

3rd Day - Wednesday |
Olite - Ujue - Sanguesa - Javier - Sos del Rey - Pamplona -
Argomaniz
Buffet breakfast. Departure to Ujue to visit the old quarter and the
fortress church. Continue to Sanguesa to see the Church of Santa Maria,
one of the most important on the Road to Santiago. Enjoy lunch in the
Parador of Sos del Rey Catolico. Tour nearby Pamplona before continuing
into the Basque Country for dinner and overnight in the Parador of
Argomaniz.

4th Day - Thursday |
Argomaniz - Aņana - La Guardia - Najera - Santo Domingo de la Calzada
Buffet breakfast and visit to the salt mines of Aņana and continue to the
charming walled village of La Guardia, to visit a winery of the Rioja
Alavesa. Lunch. Visit to delightful Najera before continuing into the
heart of La Rioja for dinner and overnight in the Parador of Santo
Domingo.

5th Day - Friday |
Santo Domingo de la Calzada - Frias - Oņa - Burgos - Madrid
Buffet breakfast and departure to Frias for a tour of "the smallest
city in Europe". Continue to Oņa for a visit to the Royal Tomb of San
Salvador. In Burgos, enjoy lunch and a city tour including the
magnificent cathedral containing the tomb of El Cid. Continue to Madrid.
End of services.
