The island of the "eternal spring", thanks to its unequalled climate, offers
enormous contrasts and a wide variety of landscapes in its different areas. The
Parador, located in the natural Cañadas del Teide crater, more than 2,000
metres above sea level, invites the guest to contemplate impressive panoramic
views of the Teide cone, the Chacorra crater and the White Mountain. Being the
only building within the Parque Nacional del Teide (national Park of El Teide),
its interior recreates the ambience of a mountain lodge both in the drawing-rooms
and bedrooms, and has terraces with impressive panoramic views of the Teide. It
is a real pleasure to sample the exquisite and original Canary Islands cooking in
the Parador´ restaurant. The Canary Islands stew ("puchero canario"), "conejo al
salmorejo" (rabbit dish) "papas arrugas y mojos" (potatoes in their skins) and
the "viejas sancochadas" stand out.

HOW TO GET THERE
This Parador is located in the Cañadas del Teide National Park, 42 km from
La Orotava. It is reached along the roads from La Orotava, La Laguna, Chio,
Los Cristianos and Granadilla. It is located 70 Kilometres away from Santa
Cruz, the capital of the province. |
