      Dance with Zorba....
      The famous Zorba the Greek (as played by Anthony Quinn) was from the
      Island of Crete. Another local celebrity is the Minotaur, who made his home
      at Knossos just outside of Heraklion.

      Run for Miles. . .24 of them
      The original marathon actually started in Greece in a place called Marathon
      when Pheidippides ran the 42.2 meters to Athens to report on the Athenian
      victory. As legend has it, he did so without pausing for breath and then he
      died. If you're around in October, enter the Athens Open International Peace
      Marathon but please, breathe!

      Cruise with Onasis.....
      what better way to see the famous Greek Islands than a cruise. Whether on

      The Knights of St. John built the medieval castle on the island of Rhodes.
      The Castle walls surround old town Rhodes. Huge cannon balls still lay in the
      fortress. You have to see it to believe it.

      Have a debate....
      Plato, the father of philosophy also came from anicent Greece.
