VERY COOL THINGS TO DO IN GREECE

Dance with Zorba....
The famous
Zorba the Greek (as played by Anthony Quinn) was from the
Island of Crete.
Another local celebrity is the Minotaur, who made his home
at Knossos
just outside of Heraklion.
Run for Miles.
. .24 of them
The original
marathon actually started in Greece in a place called Marathon
when Pheidippides
ran the 42.2 meters to Athens to report on the Athenian
victory. As
legend has it, he did so without pausing for breath and then he
died. If you're
around in October, enter the Athens Open International Peace
Marathon but
please, breathe!
Cruise with
Onasis.....
what better
way to see the famous Greek Islands than a cruise. Whether on
a small intimate
Zeus or Galileo Yacht Cruise or a large Ocean Liner, we have
hundreds of
cruise/tour choices for you.
Party till dawn....literally...
Mykonos, the
St. Tropez of the Greek Islands is a party lover's paradise. The
island 'gets
going' around midnight and doesn't stop until after dawn.
Hundreds of
discos and bars line the small, winding streets. A great place to
meet people
from all over the world.
Race the Dolphins....
If you take
a ferry in the Greek Islands, you'll often see Dolphins racing along
side the vessel...
they always win the race.
Chart the stars
with Galileo.....
or should we
say ON Galileo. A Galileo yacht cruise is the ideal way to see
the Greek Islands
in style. Nowhere on earth are the stars so clear and
seemingly close
to you as in the Greek Isles.
Let down your
guard....gently please.
The changing
of the guard, by the traditionally dressed soldiers ("Evzones")
is a wonderful
display. A sight to be seen. And while you're there, feed the
thousands of
pigeons that call the square home.
Consult the
Oracle...
Have a question
that no one can answer... visit Delphi. Said to be the
ancient site
of the Oracle where people would go to consult the all-knowing.
Scale castle
walls....
The Knights
of St. John built the medieval castle on the island of Rhodes.
The Castle
walls surround old town Rhodes. Huge cannon balls still lay in the
fortress. You
have to see it to believe it.
Have a debate....
Plato, the
father of philosophy also came from anicent Greece.
