Clearly this is not a cruise ship in the ordinary sense. Life aboard is blissfully relaxed, much like that on a private yacht. Carrying just 170 guests on Star Clipper and Star Flyer, and only 228 guests on Royal Clipper, the ship is pleasingly spacious. Large enough to offer not one, but two and three pools. And small enough to feel immediately at home, that is, if you owned a multi-million dollar yacht! No crowds, no lines and no regimentation. But lots of privacy, camaraderie and personal service.
Star Clippers combines nautical tradition with tasteful style in a decor that is pleasing to the eye and comforting to body and soul. Public rooms are richly embellished in teak and mahogany, recalling the elegance of the Edwardian era. The Piano Bar and Tropical Bar amidships offer up libations and conviviality for thirsty sailors, while on Royal Clipper, the unique Captain Nemo Club is the first bar where imbibers can enjoy an underwater view of the deep with their beverages! In the Library, a Belle Epoque fireplace warms with a glow that reflects its intricately wrought polished brass screen.
